FAQ

Do I need to buy anything special?

NO! For in-person classes, all we need is YOU! For virtual video classes, you can use items found around the house or classroom to simulate instruments or materials we will use. With each video email, I will send which instruments and materials I use along with ideas of some home found alternatives. Each video also includes pictures of our instruments for the class.

The classes already started, can I still sign up?

YES! With an in-person class, please contact me to sign up (instead of using the class sign up page) so we can pro-rate appropriately.

For the virtual video class, absolutely! You can use the class sign up page since you are able to watch the classes whenever is most convenient for you and the class links don’t expire for over 6 months.

Why virtual interactive classes on Vimeo? Why not live classes on Zoom or Google Meet?

By sending a video using a password protected link to Vimeo, you will be able to view the video when it’s most convenient for you, as many times as you’d like, and even be able to pause or rewind or fast forward! Every video has each activity listed with clickable time codes for instant access. No extra app or login is needed, just access to the internet. You could even access the video on your phone, tablet, or computer and connect it to your TV to watch on a larger screen by using a Roku, Smart TV, Blu-Ray Player, AirPlay or something with a Bluetooth connection. If you need assistance connecting your devices, let me know!

I limit screen time, would you count the virtual videos as screen time?

NO! Because these are interactive classes, where you (or a trusted caregiver) AND your child experience and actively participate in music and movement TOGETHER, this is screen time you can feel good about! You will be singing, dancing, moving, playing, and learning together with your child all throughout the classes. We can turn screen time into meaningful time together!

Is every class the same?

NO! While each class utilizes the same basic class structure, the content will be different. Children learn and thrive through repetition. For example, if we sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” with a jingle bell, first we’ll shake it in the air, then tap it in our hand, then tap on one foot, and etc. Or we may experiment with loud and soft, big and little beats, or playing the instrument different ways. Different activities will come back again in subsequent weeks, but the classes will never be exactly the same.
